Chief Constable’s Burglary Message To Daventry Area
Following on from the earlier news from Northants Police about their commitment to tackling burglaries across the county as part of Operation Crooked, Daventry Radio contacted the Chief Constable, Nick Adderley to ask how this will affect the people of Daventry.
Mr Adderley was quick to respond and said, “I have made a commitment to the communities of Daventry and wider Northamptonshire that we will relentlessly and proactively pursue those engaged in this type of crime. Everyone has a right to feel safe in their home and I will stop at nothing to ensure that this is the case. My message to burglars out there is clear, we know who you are and where you live, it is only a matter of time before we arrest you”!
Police say that Operation Crooked has seen a decrease of over 20% since it began and the figures are continuing to drop. As part of their support to victims, burglary squad detectives are pledging to visit every single burglary victim in Northamptonshire.
Earlier Northamptonshire Police announced that detectives would be sending out special Christmas cards to burglars across the county with the message, “He knows where you live. So do we”.
