Bronze Plaque Removed From War Memorial, Daventry


Update: Plaque is safe and well;

A Daventry resident visiting the War Memorial ahead of VE Day discovered that a plaque commemorating the loss of an American B-17 and it’s aircrew was missing.

It is believed that the Bronze Plaque may have been stolen. Although it is not unusual for such plaques to be removed for renovation head of landmark anniversaries and routine maintenance.
